Savina Spain

La Sabina (in Catalan and officially sa Savina) is the first town you encounter when you arrive in Formentera. It is located on the northern side of l’Estany des Peix and is home to the port that connects Formentera with Ibiza and, during some months of the year, with Denia. La Sabina Port is the smallest port managed by the Port Authority of both the Pityusic Islands and the Balearic Islands. Despite its size, it is an essential and vital part of daily life on the island, as it is the only entry point for passengers and goods. More than one million passengers pass through its docks every year. This port has attached docks, a dock serving Formentera’s fishing industry, and two yacht clubs. The Formentera dock is 280 meters long, includes several berths for larger vessels, and has a modern passenger terminal.
