בונייר היא אי בקריביים מזרחית לאמריקה המרכזית וצפונית לונצואלה. יחד עם ארובה וקוראסאו, היא מהווה את הקבוצה הידועה בשם איי ABC. בונייר היא אי לאוהבי הטבע. יש באי שלושה מקדשי טבע, אחד לציפורים וחיית הבר, השני לפלמינגו, והשלישי לחיים הימיים. בונייר היא אחת מהמקומות הנותרים בעולם שבהם מצידים פלמינגו ורוד. מים הטורקיז והכחולים שלה כל כך יפים ומזמינים. שחיית צלילה וצלילה עם מסכה וחצובה הם הפעילויות העיקריות כאן ותגלו במהרה מדוע בונייר נחשבת לפרדיס תת-ימי. בירת בונייר, קראלנדייק, שמשמעה "שובל מקורלים", היא עיר נמל נחמדה מאוד בחוף המערבי המרכזי של בונייר. כאן תמצאו את רוב המסעדות, העסקים, הברים והחנויות של האי. קראלנדייק היא עיר נחמדה לחקור בהליכה ארוכה.
