Avanos, Turquia

El pueblo de Avanos se encuentra en las orillas del Kizilirmak el famoso Río Rojo. La ciudad está a unos 8 kilómetros (5 millas) de Goreme. Avanos tiene un centro que ofrece todas las comodidades habituales, moderno, orientados ofreciendo al turismo Hamam (Bano Turco). Un mercado ambulante vienen a Avanos todos los viernes por tanto le sugerimos visitar Avanos los viernes. Este mercado de tiendas de campaña lo tiene todo para la casa, ropa, frutas y verduras y más. Desde las afueras puedes apreciar la villa de los vientos de Avanos las colinas que se alejaban de la ciudad y es un laberinto de bellas casas de piedra, algunos restaurados, algunos se convirtieron y algunos tristemente abandonadas a su suerte. En algunas de las casas abandonadas de las características de la arquitectura tradicional otomana se pueden ver junto con decoraciones antiguas, adornos y pinturas murales.
